Annual Events at Zion
Zion has several events throughout the year. Below is a list of some events our members look forward to that happen annually at Zion. We'd love to have you join us! Call the office or attend on a Sunday morning for more information on current events.
Baptism
Zion baptizes new believers every summer. Baptism is an outward expression of an inward change that has taken place in our lives after we have placed our faith and trust in Christ. Lowering into the water symbolizes dying to your old life without God. You are then raised to a new life living like the Christ.
Youth Auction
Every April the youth at Zion hold an auction to help raise money for youth camp at Golden Bell in Colorado. Members donate several amazing items to bid on and a live auctioneer comes for a fun and exciting event for everyone and for a great cause!
Family Camp
Every summer our church gathers together over a weekend for Family Camp. This weekend is spent camping, singing, eating, playing baseball and volleyball, swimming, fishing, and growing in fellowship with your church family.
Spikes and Sprinkles
Our Zion family meets at a local park each year to play volleyball while enjoying a great ice cream spread with.... you guessed it - sprinkles!
Church Cleaning Day
Although Zion has a great custodial staff, we like to come together one or two times a year to deep clean and organize Zion.
Christmas Program
The Christmas Program is a big deal each year! The KidZone and The Edge youth programs host a great night of Christmas music, sometimes skits, great moves, and faith based songs sung by our Zion kids.

New Members Class
The New Members Class is held for those at Zion who feel led to join the church as members. This class summarizes our core beliefs and gives you more information about Zion and how you can be involved in ministry.
Change for SPICE
Zion hosts a "noisy offering" with loose change each year to benefit the SPICE program. SPICE provides children in India and Nepal access to education, nurturing in the Christian faith, and a brighter future. More than 800 children participate in this church-based child sponsorship program.

Operation Christmas Child
Operation Christmas Child is a program held by Samaritan's Purse. Zion holds a packing party each November. We pack shoeboxes with items needed for children in areas where there is need. They range from necessary items like soap, toothpaste, or clothing to wow items like dolls, jump ropes, or soccer balls.
Talent Show
Our KidZone and the Edge youth programs hold a special talent show each year. The youth of Zion (and sometimes adults!) put on quite a show!

Christmas love offering
Each year Zion takes up a special offering before Christmas to benefit missionaries chosen by the church.
Graduation Sunday
Youth graduating high school, youth continuing from 8th grade, and anyone graduating from college is recognized on Graduation Sunday and rewarded with a special gift.
